Three persons are reportedly trapped after a wall collapsed on them in the Brookside Drive, Westlands area in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
The Kenya Red Cross reports that they have since retrieved one body. The trapped persons were digging a sewage line when the accident occured. The Red Cross and partners are responding to the situation.
In April this year, Kenya recorded the collapse of a six storey building collapsed in Nairobi’s Huruma district claiming the lives of 52 people.
The accident led to major crackdown on unauthorized structures in the capital, while the owner of the building and other administrative officers are standing trial on charges of murder and manslaughter.
